Worst sound in the world

We had to take Dottie to the emergency room last night, she had a fever of 38.44 C (normal Adult temp is 37). She's probably just got what Jackie and Tres have had, but you know how the hospital has to run all those tests. This was the first time in the month since she was born that I've heard her cry hard. She got a little IV in her hand (first one didn't work, so they had to do the other hand), and then they did a lumbar puncture (spinal tap for you oldies out there) to check for meningitis (on a side note...anyone out there think I use parentheses too much?).
There's nothing worse than hearing your kid scream in pain when they don't know what's going on, and it's something that has to be done....unless it's something that doesn't have to be done, but I hope I never see that day.

Ugh, that's like when Ben was born and we had to take him in for jaundice and the phlebo was a med-school reject. He stuck him SO many times... jerk!

oh thats rough....hope everyone is doing ok now. On a side note do we use C for temp in the USA? Oh my American hardliner friend, how you have let me down.

You know, the worst sight in the world is this blog when there's nothing new for me to read!!!

I'm so glad you left a comment because I didn't know your address. This is a fun little game we can play too. I wonder how many points you get if a song gets stuck in my head through a blog. (no, that doesn't include actual music playing in a blog!) What an interesting idea. :)
