I could swear I already had a post with this title, but oh well.
In the book of Alma we read: "Yea, well did Mosiah say, who was our last king, when he was about to deliver up the kingdom, having no one to confer it upon, causing that this people should be governed by their own voices—yea, well did he say that if the time should come that the voice of this people should choose iniquity, that is, if the time should come that this people should fall into transgression, they would be ripe for destruction."
And then again over in Helaman: "For as their laws and their governments were established by the voice of the people, and they who chose evil were more numerous than they who chose good, therefore they were ripening for destruction, for the laws had become corrupted.
Yea, and this was not all; they were a stiffnecked people, insomuch that they could not be governed by the law nor justice, save it were to their destruction."
Don't be confused by the tone of those two verses, this is a happy post! There's so much WIN going on this week with Obamacare falling apart, with Zimmerman suing NBC, I'm sure there's more out there. What's the glee for then?
It's a little out of context, but I like the sentiment when it comes to my God-given freedoms: "that great pit which hath been digged for the destruction of men shall be filled by those who digged it, unto their utter destruction"
More and more people are starting to scratch the surface with Obama, to see the man behind the curtain, and they're finding that not all that glitters is gold. I wish they would also turn off the mainstream media that's been lying to them on his behalf...baby steps.
